The Singapore summit… So hard to characterize the Kim Jong Un and Trump meeting that happened on 12 th   June. at the Sentosa island. It is a good thing in a wholesome way considering the open hostilities that has existed between the two nations for so long. It is worth noting that, Kim may have attained a very coveted win. For the US to come to a table and share concerns in itself is key achievement. Trump has done a really good turn for humanity. The world didn't expect  much from Trump especially diplomacy wise. Politics and war twine all through history.  Humanity may suffer because of it. The Korean Peninsula has been in the news for so  long because of matters denuclearization. The deal signed between Trump and Kim remains  scanty in details. The world was eager mostly for the details so as to ascertain how credible  the deal was. The US had called off the talks earlier in the year and sent shivers of disappointment  ...

The NYS “celebrities” should be allowed bail. Fighting corruption in Kenya is beginning to look like a bad circumcision. It is like we have been pretending to be asleep while listening with one ear to the rumblings of a ghost under the bed. We wake up and want to run all  over the house. Kitchen. Bathroom. Garage. Garden and back to the bedroom. We need to be sure and procedural. All emotions aside and fix the rot decisively. In this age of technology it is not fair to claim that the suspects may interfere with  evidence. As long as they are not being held incommunicado, they can still interfere in  some way even behind bars.The hurried nature of the cases may prove to be a  disadvantage. Perhaps this is from Ethiopia’s prowess checking European imperialism.  So today, forgetfulness reminds me to thank the people of Ethiopia for recapturing back their State from greedy politicians. Palestinians protest against US move its embassy to Jerusalem US moves its embassy to Jerusalem… For some time, the world was deluded that Trump wasn’t that bad. We are now beginning to see the primary Trump colours. The Middle East peace process has been undermined greatly in the last few days. It will take many days to cool down the situation there. Read together with withdrawal from Iran nuke deal, we have a fiasco. The fact that EU is hold on the deal, US will likely look bad and a spoiler, especially now that Pyongyang appears to back off from the Korean summit. A dam breaks apart in Solai, Nakuru and deaths follow… What a tragedy. Rain should be life giving. It is a pity that Kenyans can suffer to the extent of losing lives. There is trauma and defeat in many areas of Kenya, in highlands and lowlands. The Solai case, reading from the landscape, was a tragedy in waiting. Government has a duty to ensure safety of all citizens at all times....

To review or not to review….                                                    This question regarding the Kenyan constitution has come into the public debate. It appears like the tagline “Not yet Uhuru” remains with us. Of course there is nothing wrong with intent to review the constitution. We can make better arrangements any time. We can make better laws anytime. Humanity must make its tools better with passage of time.
